put the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler over hot water and melt. remove from the heat and add all the other ingredients, mixing them in thoroughly. butter an 8-inch square pan and pour the mixture into it. bake at 350" (=175°c) for about 30 minutes. cool and cut into squares. a good brownie is sticky and rich with chocolate. it should´t never be dry. i don´t like things too sweet and would suggest drastic reduction of the sugar - perhaps to 1/4 cup. otherwise, i think this recipe can fly.
